72nd Airborne Division
Columbia
Platoon Level OPORD: OPN Capo Crackdown #05
1. SITUATION
a. Area of Interest. Columbia
b. Area of Operations. The city of San Antero, and the port of Puerto Escondido
(1) Disposition.
(a) Enemy forces will be expecting and prepared for contact on both objectives.
(b) Potential Civilian presence: None
(c) Friendly air assets will be able to provide ISR/CAS capabilities when needed.
(2) Enemy Course of Action.
(a) MLCOA. Enemy forces will use squad and platoon sized elements to conduct attacks and ambushes against friendly forces. IED's and anti-vehicle threats will be utilized to disrupt friendly forces and impact ability to maneuver.
(b) MDCOA. Enemy forces will use squad and platoon sized elements to occupy towns, and repel attacks from friendly forces.
2. MISSION
NLT 0400 04MAY2024 Avenger 1 will conduct air assaults to clear out Los Monos Blancos from the City and Port
3. EXECUTION
a. Commander’s Intent. To limit harm to civilians within Columbia from Cartel forces.
b. Concept of the Operation. Decisive to this operation is seizing enemy held locations.
c. Scheme of Maneuver.
(1) Phase 1, Air assault and entry into the city
Prior to the assault, ACE will conduct airstrikes on the marked locations, with the intent of denying their use to the enemy. Avenger 1 will load into separate helicopters by squad, and be transported to LZ Poptart. 1-4 will be first, followed by the other squads. Once on the ground, 1-4 will immediately begin movement to their phase 1 firing position to the south of the entry point. Meanwhile, 1-2 and 1-3 will move up into the destroyed military compound and from there up to the marked crest. Prior to the rifle squads coming over the crest, 1-4 will utilize 40mm smoke rounds to create a line of concealment along the marked smoke line, in order to cover the left flank of 1-2 and 1-3's movement into the town. Once 1-2 and 1-3 make landfall into Sector Alpha, Phase 2 will begin.
(2) Phase 2, clearance of the city proper
The city and slum are split into a series of 11 sectors designated Alpha through Kilo. The platoon and ODA will collaborate to clear these sectors in alphabetical order. Each sector is further subdivided into a series of numbered blocks, which will be used to aid clearance and communication between elements. Squad leads should endeavor to communicate on 106 each time they clear a block and enter another block. The platoon (and ODA) are meant to all be in a single sector at once and clear it entirely before moving to the next one. Echo is the only exception, and may end up being cleared simultaneously with another sector as a result of being positioned inconveniently. 1-4 will be inside the city and taking positions to limit enemy movement on and across roadways, which will help prevent enemies from reoccupying previously cleared blocks.
Once sectors Alpha through Foxtrot are cleared, Phase 3 will begin. At this time, the platoon will be requesting a resupply from ACE (2x platoon box, 1x SAW box, 1x medical box).
(3). Phase 3, clearance of the slum
After the resupply is complete, the platoon (and probably ODA) will being clearance of the slum, consisting of sectors Golf through Kilo. Depending on observed movements from the port, 1-4 may establish a blocking position to prevent further reinforcements from the port, or they may continue assisting with clearance. The slum will be cleared in a similar way to the city, with the only caveat being that the blocks have less easily defined boundaries due to the nature of the buildings in this area. There are many more buildings which are much smaller on average, so squads will need to be very careful not to miss shacks here and there, as that will result in scattered contact from the rear as the platoon moves through. Once all sectors are clear, the platoon will move back to the north central area of the city (between Foxtrot and Golf) and prepare for the final phase of the operation.
(4). Phase 4, clearance of the port
In Phase 4, the platoon and ODA will be clearing through the port. At this time, ACE will fly in 1x Bradley for 1-4 to use as a long range fire support vehicle on the port. Said vehicle will contain resupply boxes for the platoon if another one is needed at that time. While 1-4 takes their firing position and begins suppression of enemy forces within the port, everyone else will move along the marked path, move to the wall, and move into the compound at the marked entry points. From there, clearance will proceed similarly to earlier phases, with sectors and blocks being marked to aid in communication. Once all sectors from Lima to November are cleared, the platoon will endex on location.
(5): Notes.
Civilians have fled the city and will not be a factor, however steps should be taken to limit harm to civilian structures. Excessive use of explosives should be avoided.

3. EXECUTION
a. Commander’s Intent. To limit harm to civilians within Columbia from Cartel forces.
b. Concept of the Operation. Decisive to this operation is seizing enemy held locations.
c. Scheme of Maneuver.
(1) Phase 1, clearance of Caucasia
Avenger 1 will be inserted via helicopter to LZ Apple, from which they will move up to OBJ Banana, the town of Caucasia. The town is occupied by Los Monos Blancos and currently clear of civilians. It is separated into 3 sections, the north, south, and central. One squad will clear the south section while 1-4 and the other squad clears the central section. Once the central section is clear, that rifle squad will move to the north section and begin clearance on it as well. While there, 72nd forces should be on the lookout for a man with a tan suit, he's the mayor of the town who freely turned it over to the cartel. If seen, he should be captured if possible, killed if not. Once the town is clear, 1-2 and 1-3 will begin moving on foot towards the next objective while 1-4 waits for prearranged vehicle drop-offs from ACE of 2x M2 Humvees and 1x Mk19 Humvee.
(2) Phase 2, clearance of Lorica and nearby industrial/military areas.
1-2 and 1-3 will move through the jungle up to the edge of OBJ Cherry, the town of Lorica. Lorica is similarly occupied by Los Monos Blancos and free of civilians, as are all the other objectives. 1-4 will move with their vehicles to the open area south of OBJ Cherry and hold there until the other squads are ready to assault. There's a military compound at the edge of the jungle where the squads will be moving to and that will be their assault point. This compound and another nearby have large military cargo towers, these will likely be destroyed either by 1-4 or by ACE if they pose a threat. 1-2 and 1-3 will move through this compound and thereafter through the town to clear while 1-4 provides fire support from their Humvees. Once the town is clear, transport Humvees will be dropped off by ACE to provide transport for the rest of platoon.
Afterwards, the platoon will move to OBJ's Durian and Elderberry and clear them in a similar manner. Durian consists of a separate industrial compound (north) and a military compound (south). Elderberry is a slum. After these are clear, the platoon will either extract via ACE to the airbase or, if time permits, move on to the optional last OBJ.(3). Phase 3, clearance of Santa Rosa.
In Phase 3, the platoon will move offroad to OBJ Fig, the town of Santa Rosa, skipping around Monteria which should be held by the neutral forces of Los Diablos. The town is very loose and very open, therefore lots of movement across open terrain will be involved in clearing it. Once the area is cleared, the platoon will RTB via helicopter.
(3): Notes.
There are several points of interest marked, these are areas which will be looked at and evaluated as potential threats but not cleared if no threat is apparent.
Los Monos Blancos are known to utilize Huey's and fixed wing props as air assets.d. Order of Movement: 1-3 (Lead), 1-4 /HQ/Medic (Support), 1-2

3. EXECUTION
a. Commander’s Intent. To limit harm to civilians within Columbia from Cartel forces.
b. Concept of the Operation. Decisive to this operation is seizing enemy held locations.
c. Scheme of Maneuver.
(1) Phase 1, clearance of Montelibano
In phase 1, Avenger 1 will move to clear the town of Montelibano of Los Monos Blancos cartel forces. The town is split on both sides of a river, with the south side held by Los Monos and the north side held by Los Diablos. Los Diablos are overall neutral to US forces and unlikely to attack in this instance, and so are not to be fired upon. Los Monos Blancos are easily identifiable by their all black uniforms and masks, and are overtly hostile to US forces. 1-2 will be starting at Hitman's FOB and moving to the north side of town on foot, while 1-3 will be air assaulted from their FOB to a spot in the river to the southwest of town, then move on foot to the southwest side of town and sweep eastward.
While the north side of the town has up to this point been held by Los Diablos, it is unknown whether it will be entirely clear of Los Monos or not, therefore 1-2 will endeavor to sweep the north side and break any foothold that Los Monos may have acquired. They are also to provide fire support across the river to 1-3, who will be clearing the south side of town held entirely by Los Monos. It is unknown if any civilians will be remaining in town, however based on prior operations civilian presence should be assumed until shown otherwise. Once both sides of town are cleared of Los Monos, 1-3 will move across the river to the north side via the piers, and the platoon will then be transported via helicopter to Objective 2.
(2) Phase 2, clearance of the northwest port.
The platoon will be transported to LZ Slice and move to the Split Point (SP). From there, 1-4 will move to their base of fire position while 1-2 and 1-3 will move behind defilade to their assault point. From the assault point, 1-2 and 1-3 will move across the fence and move to the marked entry points, where their EOD personnel should use breaching charges or other explosives to knock down fence sections which are behind cover from the rest of the interior.
Once inside the port area, 1-2 and 1-3 will move to clear the different interior sections in tandem. 1-4 will move up behind as appropriate to continue providing fire support. The Storage and Industrial areas contain many delicate structures and explosives should be avoided to the furthest practical extent within these areas, as the civilian populace depends on these facilities. Once the port is cleared, the platoon will be transported back to the airbase and endex.

Fallujah
Platoon Level OPORD: OPN Door Kicker 05
1. SITUATION
a. Area of Interest. Fallujah.
b. Area of Operations. Multiple Insurgent hotspots around the city.
(1) Terrain.
(a) Obstacles.
1. LDAs and ODAs. Large number of LDA's with scattered ODA's throughout AO. Many LDA's in the inner city of Fallujah. Friendly Forces will utilize Urban MOUT Principles when encountering LDA's to mitigate risk when operating within the city. Many ODAs have enemy fortifications built to watch them which will attack friendly forces. Friendly forces will avoid LDAs and ODAs adjacent to known enemy locations where possible and utilize LDA and ODA crossing techniques to mitigate risk when dismounted.
2. Urban Environment. Provide enemy advantage due to the offensive nature of this operation. Enemy patrols will likely hold defensive positions and conduct ambushes on friendly forces advancing through urban terrain. Friendly forces will utilize proper coordination amongst other units.
(b) Avenues of Approach. Multiple roads leading in and out of the city, representing multiple chances of minor-moderate enemy fortifications/patrols. Rural areas outside of the city are significantly flat and lack terrain as cover. Roads are to be avoided where possible but may not always be avoidable.
(c) Key Terrain. Flat. Minor tree cover and rock formations surrounding the city. Buildings inside city will provide ample Cover and Concealment
(d) Observations and Fields of Fire. AoAs, enterable buildings, and points of elevation will provide the best Observations and Fields of Fire throughout movement.
(e) Cover and Concealment. Buildings, vegetation, and rock formations provide intermittent cover and concealment throughout the region. Friendly forces will utilize this to facilitate maneuvers during missions.
(2) Weather: Noon, dust storms.
c. Enemy Forces. Takistani insurgent forces.
(1) Disposition.
(a) Enemy forces will have little warning prior to first contact.
(b) Potential Civilian presence: Heavy
(c) Friendly air assets will be able to provide ISR/CAS capabilities when needed.
(2) Enemy Course of Action.
(a) MLCOA. Enemy forces will use squad and platoon sized elements to conduct attacks and ambushes against friendly forces. IED's and anti-vehicle threats will be utilized to disrupt friendly forces and impact ability to maneuver.
(b) MDCOA. Enemy forces will use squad and platoon sized elements to occupy the city, and conduct operations against friendly positions. Enemy forces may retreat, depending on disposition.
2. MISSION
NLT 1200 24FEB2024 Avenger 1 will conduct air assaults to disrupt various insurgent operations.
3. EXECUTION
a. Commander’s Intent. To suppress insurgent operations within Fallujah
b. Concept of the Operation. Decisive to this operation is seizing enemy held locations and disarming or destroying enemy explosives.
c. Scheme of Maneuver.
(1) Phase 1, combined air assault.
In phase 1, Avenger 1 will be conducting a platoon level air assault landing and thereafter splitting into two elements and hitting two separate objectives. After these objectives are complete, the squads will remain split and conduct the remainder of their objectives independently. After landing at LZ 27, 1-3 will be moving northwest to intel 7, a warehouse reported to be used by insurgents for storing arms, vehicles, and possibly other supplies. There have been reports of a sniper operating in the area.
1-2 will be moving east to intel 2, where a fenced-in compound with a radio tower and several other buildings are located. UXO's have been reported inside the fence line and require defusal. While insurgent forces are not believed to be focused in this area explicitly, they are operating throughout the city and some resistance should be anticipated.
(2) Phase 2, 1-2
In phase 2, 1-2 will be doing Intel sites 4, 6, and 8, not in any particular order. Intel 4 is a location of an insurgent warlord believed to be hiding out at a pizza restaurant. 1-2 will fast rope directly onto the roof of the restaurant and proceed to clear downwards in order to capture and extract said warlord. Intel 6 is a group of oil tanks in the industrial area of the city. Insurgents are holding this area and must be excised while keeping infrastructural damage to a minimum. Intel 8 is an insurgent training facility locating in a warehouse on the marked position, which must be cleared out. Some guards are expected to be located on the outside, but the majority will be in the building. Once all these objectives are complete, 1-2 will return to base.
(3) Phase 2, 1-3
In phase 2, 1-3 will be doing intel sites 1, 3, and 5, not in any particular order. Intel 1 is the approximate location of a mortar pit being operated by insurgent forces. 1-3 will move in, clear the marked area of insurgents, locate the mortars, and either mark them for removal or destroy them, depending on the conditions at the site. Intel 3 is a hospital which has reported an IED nearby which requires clearing. Intel 5 is a rail platform which an IED has been reported on or nearby. While both do not explicitly mention enemy forces, it should be assumed that there may be resistance, as enemies are operating throughout the city.
(5): Notes.
A year has passed since the TNA were forced out of the city, and insurgents are the primary enemy force. Civilians have returned and heavy civilian presence should be expected within the city, therefore explosives should be used sparingly, if at all, and PID should be carefully exercised.
d. Order of Movement: 1-3 (Lead), 1-4 /HQ/Medic (Support), 1-2
e. Rules of Engagement: PID weapons.
f. Task to Supporting Units:
ACE: Reinserts/CAS as necessary, transport as arranged prior.g. Coordinating Instructions: All element leaders conduct mod/gear checks and rehearsals as necessary.

(b) MDCOA. Enemy forces will use squad and platoon sized elements to occupy the city, and conduct operations against friendly positions. Enemy forces may retreat, depending on disposition.
2. MISSION
NLT 0800 17FEB2024 Avenger 1 will conduct air assaults to disrupt insurgent IED production.
3. EXECUTION
a. Commander’s Intent. To suppress the manufacture, distribution, and use of IEDs within Fallujah
b. Concept of the Operation. Decisive to this operation is seizing enemy held locations and disarming or destroying enemy explosives.
c. Scheme of Maneuver.
(1) Phase 1, IED factory air assault
The platoon will load in, get ready, and load into birds for the assault on Site Zero. Site Zero is the location of a large compound with many sizeable apartment buildings held by enemy insurgents and used as an IED factory. This site is large enough that the whole of platoon as well as ODA will be simultaneously assaulting it. Each rifle squad and ODA will be inserting via helicopter, with a 1-4 gun team accompanying each element. The 1-4 gun teams will be staying with their elements for all phases of the mission. The helicopters will hover above corner buildings in order to allow the elements within to fast rope onto the rooftops. 1-3 will be inserting to the southwest, 1-2 to the northeast, and ODA to the northwest. Once their initial buildings are secure, the elements will move counter-clockwise around the compound until every building is cleared.
(2) Phase 2, 1-2
In phase two, the squads will be separating and handling their own objectives. 1-2 will be handling sites 3, 4, and 5, landing at LZ 345 and proceeding on foot through the trio. These are smaller IED workshops where the marked buildings and potentially the surrounding buildings will have enemy forces.
(3) Phase 2, 1-3
In phase two, the squads will be separating and handling their own objectives. 1-3 will be handling sites 1, 2, and 10. These sites are separated far enough that separate air assaults will be performed for each one. The sites will be done in the order listed (1>2>10). These are smaller IED workshops where the marked buildings and potentially the surrounding buildings will have enemy forces.
(4) Phase 3, Road Clearance.
In phase three, the squads will be returning to base, loading up in MRAPs, and performing road clearance on the MSR. Insurgents are known to be using IEDs along the MSR and occasionally conducting ambushes, so any roadside debris or other suspicious objects will need to be evaluated by an EOD personnel if possible, or marked for clearance if not. Two MRAPs per squad will be used and if one squad completes phase two before the other, they will roll out independently.
(5): Notes.
A year has passed since the TNA were forced out of the city, and insurgents are the primary enemy force. Civilians have returned and heavy civilian presence should be expected within the city, therefore explosives should be used sparingly, if at all, and PID should be carefully exercised.

2. MISSION
NLT 1200 02FEB2024 Avenger 1 will conduct an airborne operation to seize an enemy held airfield.
3. EXECUTION
a. Commander’s Intent. To assist allied forces with the seizure of Fallujah.
b. Concept of the Operation. Decisive to this operation is successful evacuation of HVTs
c. Scheme of Maneuver.
(1) Phase 1, Convoy to RP with Hitman
Platoon will load up and mount up in a convoy and move to the RP with Hitman. 1-4 will operate the Bradleys, the squads will load up in the MRAPs, and the Badger IFV's will be operated by HQ. The area east of the river is cleared of enemy forces, however mines are still scattered and vehicles should strictly stay on the road, except where otherwise marked with barriers. After crossing the bridge, the convoy will turn north towards the RP, following the riverbank. The area just beyond the bridge is held by friendly forces, but the majority of the area between the bridge and RP is held by enemy forces. 1-4 will be responsible for covering the rest of the convoy as they advance up the riverbank.
(2) Phase 2, Rendezvous and hotel defense.
Once the platoon reaches the hotel, the vehicles will arrange themselves as indicated in the screenshot below. Hitman will be utilizing the Badger IFV's to extract themselves and their HVT's, therefore the Badgers will need to be shielded by the other vehicles until Hitman is finished loading into them. The Badgers will be positioned very specifically below the balcony so that Hitman is able to load into them from above. Once Hitman leaves, the platoon will need to defend the hotel building until friendly forces arrive to reinforce the position. Enemy contact could come from almost any direction in the meantime, so a 360 defense should be set up.
(3) Phase 3, FRAGOs.
Once friendly forces arrive at the hotel, Avenger 1 will be tasked with acting as a flex force to reinforce other friendly forces that are taking heavy fire. FRAGOs may include the evacuation of wounded personnel to the field hospital set up a cross the river, which ground vehicles (likely a Bradley) will be used for. At mission end, the platoon will return to the field hospital for ENDEX.
(4): Notes.
ODA will be deploying 60 minutes early to assault the hotel and secure HVTs.
ACE will be deploying 60 minutes early to fly Hitman
d. Order of Movement: 1-2 (Lead), 1-4 Gun Team/HQ/Medic (Support), 1-3, 1-4 Bradley Crews (trail)
e. Rules of Engagement: Weapons free.
f. Task to Supporting Units:
ACE: Reinserts/transport/CAS as necessary. PJ support as discussed beforehand.g. Coordinating Instructions: All element leaders conduct mod/gear checks and rehearsals as necessary.
