    b.  Area of Operations.  Between the town of Salmari and the southern airfield.

    (1)  Terrain.

    (a)  Obstacles.

    1.      LDAs and ODAs. Large number of LDAs and ODAs throughout AO. Enemy patrols will likely ambush friendly forces traveling or crossing LDAs. Friendly forces will avoid LDAs and ODAs adjacent to known enemy locations and utilize LDA and ODA crossing techniques to mitigate risk when dismounted.

    (c)  Key Terrain. Major intersections along the route act as primary key terrain throughout AO and will provide advantage to those who control them.

    (d)  Observations and Fields of Fire. AoAs, enterable buildings, and points of elevation will provide the best Observations and Fields of Fire throughout movement.

    (e)  Cover and Concealment. Buildings, vegetation, and rock formations provide intermittent cover and concealment throughout the region. Friendly forces will utilize this to facilitate maneuvers during missions.

    (2)  Weather. Day, Clear.

    c.  Enemy Forces. Conventional and Unconventional Fighters (PMCs and Locals)

    (1)  Disposition.

    (a)  Intelligence reporting indicates that Aegis has allied with Silk Road to push US forces out of the region.

    (b)  The Kujari government is evicting US forces from the northern airfield.

    (c)  A C-130 is inbound to the southern airfield to extract Avenger Platoon, as well as ACE and Hitman.

    (2)  Enemy Course of Action.

    (a)  MLCOA. Enemy forces will use squad- and platoon-sized elements to conduct attacks and ambushes against friendly forces. Enemy forces will fight to the death in each defensive position they hold. IDF and vehicles will be utilized to disrupt friendly forces and impact ability to maneuver.

    (b)  MDCOA. Enemy forces will use company-sized elements to occupy towns and conduct operations against friendly positions.

    (d)  Friendly Forces. Friendly forces are conducting evacuations throughout the region.

    2.  MISSION

NLT 0800AUG19 Avenger 1 will conduct operations to capture Silk Road Staging areas and destroy the assets therein.

    3.  EXECUTION

    a.  Commander’s Intent.  Ensure the safe evacuation of US forces out of the region.

    b.  Concept of the Operation.  Decisive to this operation is making it to the southern airfield for extraction.

    c. Scheme of Maneuver.

    (1) SP, convoy.

The platoon will start at the town of Salmari, resupply from ammo and medical crates, and mount up for the convoy south.   1-4 will once again be operating the platoon's vehicles, save for the MRAP which will likely be operated by members of HQ.  The entire route is through Silk Road territory and ambushes are possible at nearly any location.  In the event of an ambush, the platoon will attempt to push through and drive on, destruction of enemy forces is unnecessary save for what is strictly needed to continue moving.

Close to the end of the convoy route, a potential killzone has been identified which may be within view of enemy fortifications.  The platoon will momentarily halt at the scouting point in order to conduct a threat evaluation from the roof of a civilian structure, and may possibly take the opportunity to neutralize any immediate threats to the killzone.  Once this is complete, the platoon will mount back up and move as quickly as possible through the killzone and into the treeline to the south.  From there, they will proceed to the crossing point.

Once at the crossing point, the platoon will hard dismount, with the exception of the Pandur IFV.  The Pandur is amphibious and capable of crossing the river, unfortunately the other vehicles are not.  The other vehicles will be rigged to detonate and destroyed once the platoon has completed the river crossing.

    (2) OBJ Escape from Kujari.

The platoon will proceed on foot south from the crossing point along the marked route and assault the western end of the airfield from the northwest.  The airfield was being used by Silk Road for non-military purposes, it should be expected that some fortifications will be present, however they will most likely not be excessive.  Once any defenses are neutralized, the platoon will hold in place and wait for the C-130 to arrive.  The other detachments are also extracting via the C-130 and should be expected to arrive at some point.  The C-130 is expected to arrive at 0930 (1:30 after op start), and will not be staying long.  Once it arrives, the platoon will load up immediately.  The aircraft will not be waiting around for stragglers.  Once it takes off and exits the airspace, we are mission complete.

    (3) SERE in case of respawn.

In the event of KIA, the persons in question will be respawned somewhere in the general area of the map around the airfield, and will need to SERE (Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape) their way to the airfield.  In the event that they arrive in the immediate area prior to the assault on the airfield beginning, they should make their way to a rally point in the treeline to the north of the airfield (around hill 12 in the above screenshot), which will be marked ingame.

    (b)  Silk Road is now fielding older fighter jets as well as CWIS.

    (d)  Friendly Forces. Friendly forces are conducting offensive operations inside Silk Road's northern territory

    2.  MISSION

NLT 1500AUG12 Avenger 1 will conduct operations to capture Silk Road Staging areas and destroy the assets therein.

    3.  EXECUTION

    a.  Commander’s Intent.  Ensure combat effectiveness of units operating in Kujari is maintained and conduct stability operations to set the conditions for a transition to civilian rule of law.

    b.  Concept of the Operation.  Decisive to this operation is removing Silk Road from the villages of Samari and Salmari

    c. Scheme of Maneuver.

    (1) SP, convoy.

The platoon will start at the airbase, prepare for town assaults, and mount up in vehicles.  Vehicles will be 1x Stryker, 2x large MRAP, 1x TOW Humvee.  1-4 will be operating the Stryker and MRAPS with the other squads riding along.  Para-rescue is expected to accompany with their own vehicle as well. Vehicles will additionally be loaded up with extra ammo boxes.  Once the platoon is ready, they'll move out along the planned route.  Militia activity is still present in unaligned towns, so settlements will be avoided.  At the end of the route, the platoon will soft dismount at the marked dismount point, and clear the Staging Point of any hostile activity.  The staging point will be used during further activity as a location to do vehicle repairs/rearms and possibly for 1-4 to pick up reinserts.

    FDhC3xK.jpeg

    (2) OBJ Sticks (Samari)

Objective Sticks is a large town used as a staging area for Silk Road (SR) forces.  It is expected that it will have multiple enemy platoons of combatants as well as armored vehicle support.  QRF will be expected primarily from the west, but is possible from nearly all directions.  The surrounding terrain is mostly bare of vegetation and relatively flat with lots of small rises and dips in all directions.  ACE will be supporting the assault primarily with a Harpy drone, which will be relied upon for ISR and support against enemy armored vehicles.  Type 3 clearance will be given on any enemy forces outside the town, and enemy vehicles inside the town outside of immediate proximity to platoon members.  Civilians are expected in small numbers only, and not outdoors.  Due to AA threat from the nearby refinery to the west, ACE will likely not be capable of dropping reinserts in immediate proximity to the town, and 1-4 will be responsible for picking them up and driving them back in.

The platoon will move into the town from the northeast.  There's a shelf between the staging point and the town which will be used by 1-4 to provide covering fire as the rifle squads move in.  The town will mostly be obscured by microterrain until the squads are very close to the edge.  The town will be divided into numbered sectors and the squads assigned sectors as such.  In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the sector assignments can be changed.  Once the rifle squads make landfall on the town, 1-4 will shift tactics to providing both vehicle support and cordon on the north, east, and south sides of town, but should not make close approaches to uncleared sectors.  The west should be avoided for positioning as this is where the heaviest QRF is expected.  Once the town is secure, the platoon will gather on the western edge, rearm from boxes, and prepare to push to the next town.

    VLYEmPf.jpeg

Aerial view of the town from the direction of assault:

    7xekPV0.jpeg

    (3) OBJ Stones (Salmari)

The rifle squads will move west on foot to the marked assault point for OBJ Stones.  OBJ Stones is a significantly smaller town, but is also much denser.  QRF is expected still primarily from the west, but possible from the north and the south.  The platoon will still be relying upon Harpy for ISR and early warning of QRF, but it should be noted that OBJ Stones is in much closer proximity to the CIWS at the refinery to the west, and it is possible that missiles inbound from Harpy may be shot down.  Additionally, ACE will not be able to drop off reinserts any closer to the refinery than during the prior objective, so 1-4 may have to drive in excess of 1km in order to pick up reinserts.

OBJ Stones will be split into 3 zones which are not preassigned.  1-4 will be acting similarly to the last objective, providing support and cordon with their vehicles while 1-2 and 1-3 move in, this time from the southeast.  Once the town is clear, the rifle squads will move to marked defensive positions in order to fend against QRF/counterattacks from the Refinery to the west.  Once endex is called, the Platoon will be ending in the field.

    c. Scheme of Maneuver.

    (1) SP.

The platoon will start at the airbase, prepare for town assaults, and be transported out via helicopter.

    (2)  Southern town assaults (OBJ Malamute + OBJ Furry)

The platoon will land at the LZ and begin moving to the SP for OBJ Malamute.  Once there, 1-4 will split off to a base of fire, 1-2 and 1-3 will split for a two-pronged assault into the town.  The town is split broadly into 3 zones and will ideally be cleared as such.  There are few (but not zero) civilians expected in this town or the next on account of an organic civilian evacuation towards the northern side of the region where there is much less fighting.

Once complete, the platoon will then move west and south along the edge of the forest to the SP for OBJ Furry.  1-4 will move to an OP while 1-2 and 1-3 move combined towards the west end of the village, sweeping through to the east side.  Once this objective is complete, transport will be requested from ACE direct to the next engagement zone's LZ.  Resupply crates (2x Platoon, 1x SAW, 1x Medical) will also be requested, to be dropped off at the next LZ.

    iYF9l83.jpegbqYy22y.pngYTWNew6.png

    (3) Northern town assaults (OBJ Miami + OBJ Kobe)

The platoon will land at the LZ and move to the SP for OBJ Miami.  This village is small and scattered, as such 1-2 will split off from the main force to clear it themselves.  1-4 will split off one gun team to hold at the southern side of the town, to act as overwatch on the southern compounds as well as to guard the south road from both ingress and egress.  In the meantime, 1-3 and the other 1-4 gun team will continue to the SP for OBJ Kobe and begin clearing the town once they reach it.  Once 1-2 is complete with OBJ Miami, they and the 1-4 gun team present will move south to join 1-3 and the rest of 1-4 at OBJ Kobe.  Once complete, the platoon will request transportation back to base via helicopter.

  8. Avenger 1

    72nd Airborne Division

    Republic of Kujari

Platoon Level OPORD: OPN TEXAS TEA IV

    1.  SITUATION

    a.  Area of Interest. Northern Kujari.

    b.  Area of Operations.  Around the Marwey airfield, and the towns of Wondori and Damaram.

    2.      Urban Environment. Provide enemy advantage due to the offensive nature of this operation. Enemy patrols will likely hold defensive positions and conduct ambushes on friendly forces advancing through urban terrain. Friendly forces will utilize proper coordination amongst other units.

    (b)  Avenues of Approach. Multiple MSRs and ASRs throughout. Enemy advantage due to ease of maneuver for mounted assets and possibility to expedite enemy QRF. AoAs will be avoided unless specifically being used by friendly mounted forces based on mission requirements.

    (a)  Intelligence reporting indicates that militia fighters are buying anti-air assets from out of country.

    (b)  Intelligence reporting indicates that Wagner are gaining a lot of momentum against local militia forces

    (c)  Enemy forces believed to be utilizing IDF to disrupt troop movements in Kujari.

Friendly forces are conducting defensive operations to defend the airfield and offensive operations

    2.  MISSION

NLT 1600JUL22 Avenger 1 will conduct operations to ensure the security of the airfield and disrupt Wagner's ability to conduct further assaults.

    3.  EXECUTION

    a.  Commander’s Intent.  Ensure combat effectiveness of units operating in Kujari is maintained and conduct stability operations to set the conditions for a transition to civilian rule of law.

    b.  Concept of the Operation.  Decisive to this operation is defending the airfield from enemy attack and depriving the enemy of critical staging areas. This is decisive because it facilitates the return to civilian rule of law.

    c. Scheme of Maneuver.

    (1) SP.

The platoon will start at the airbase, arm up for a defense, place mines along indicated locations, and dig entrenchments at their assigned locations.

(Note, the server will be opened early to allow for a head start on certain preparations.  Enemy forces are expected to move in 10-15 minutes after start).

    (2) Airfield Defense

The platoon will engage enemy forces moving to assault the friendly airbase.  Due to an opposing ridge, engagement distances are expected to be no more than 500-800m at the furthest range.  This puts enemy forces well within range of heavy vehicle-mounted weapons and infantry AT capabilities.  Additionally, a stretch of low ground in the middle of the engagement zone will be seeded with anti-personnel mines, as well as likely road intersections being set up with AT mines.  Therefore, 1-2 and 1-3 will take one vehicle each (MRAPs preferred due to likely enemy AT capabilites) and use them to assist with their defense.  As 1-3 will be assigned to the longer sightline, they should take a mk19 MRAP if available.  Both rifle squads should ensure they have a maaws available to deal with any enemy vehicles that may encroach.  Available 1-4 members will be split between performing mortar counterbattery, and crewing the ASV as a flex force.  Additionally, some ACE members will be operating on the ground, assisting with certain defense tasks.

    Suscve1.jpeg

    (3) Town assaults (OBJ Wonton + OBJ Dimsum)

The towns of Wondori (OBJ Wonton) and Damaram (OBJ Dimsum) are being used by Wagner to stage their assault on the airfield.  Civilians are reported to have mostly fled these towns, though it is possible that some remain, sheltering inside their homes.  Once the assault is repelled, the platoon will proceed by convoy first to OBJ Wonton and assault it from the high ground to the north, clearing the town block by block.  Once OBJ Wonton is cleared, the platoon will proceed further south to OBJ Dimsum, and assault it from the ridge to the north.  OBJ Dimsum is considerably larger and is expected to take much longer to clear, and depending on available time, may be skipped.  However, it is expected that the majority of available Wagner forces will be committed to the airfield assault, and the towns will likely only be lightly fortified and occupied by small enemy contingents.  1-2 and 1-3 will do the majority of the building clearing, 1-4 will be crewing vehicles to act as fire support.  Once both towns are clear, the platoon will either convoy back to the airfield if time allows, or end in the field if not.

    2.  MISSION

NLT 0900JUL15 Avenger 1 will conduct operations to disrupt silk road supply lines and reduce arms smuggling to local militias.

    3.  EXECUTION

    a.  Commander’s Intent.  Ensure combat effectiveness of units operating in Kujari is maintained and conduct stability operations to set the conditions for a transition to civilian rule of law.

The purpose of fires is to disrupt and destroy the enemy throughout the region during troop movements and operations. All/any pre-planned targets will be engaged prior to platoon’s movement through the area.

    c. Scheme of Maneuver.

    (1) SP.

The platoon will start at the airbase, arm for a convoy ambush (heavy AT focus), and mount up in air vehicles to move to the first location.

    (2) Convoy Ambush

The platoon will get dropped off at LZ Beech or Alt LZ Oak and move directly to the ambush site.  The enemy convoy is expected to approach south and move through two intersections closely spaced.  The platoon will commence the attack once the convoy is about to hit the second intersection, using Javelins and MAAWS to destroy enemy vehicles.  ACE will have support assets on standby for LOAL capabilities in case the convoy is more heavily armed than expected.  1-2 and 1-3 will be behind a slope to the close northwest of the second intersection, popping up to attack once the ambush is commenced.  1-4 will be split between two positions, with Javelins on a hill to the north for medium range heavy AT capability, and machine guns on a hill to the west to fire down the length of the convoy.  Once the convoy is destroyed, platoon will move back to LZ Beech or Alt LZ Oak and be flown back to the airbase to rearm for phase 3.

    ubbzX3E.jpeg

    (3) Arms Smuggler

1-4 will be splitting off from the rest of platoon at this point to assist ODA with one of their objectives.  1-2 and 1-3 will convoy down to the town of Walada, where an arms smuggler believed to be smuggling ZU-23 emplacements is located.  The arms smuggler is located on the west side of town, which is only sparsely constructed, and is believed to have a red pickup truck.  The 1-2/1-3 will convoy to the dismount point and split off.  An alt dismount is marked in case enemies are observed prior to reaching the primary.  1-2 will set up on the marked hill looking down the length of the town while 1-3 circles around to the southwest side in order to block the smuggler from escaping.  Once 1-3 is in place, 1-2 will proceed through the marked area of interest, locate the smuggler, and attempt to capture him if possible, kill if not.  Should he attempt to escape in his truck, the truck should ideally be disabled (tires shot) not destroyed.  Once the arms smuggler has been secured or neutralized, the 1-2 and 1-3 will convoy back up to the airbase and end there.

    2.  MISSION

NLT 1800JUL8 Avenger 1 will conduct convoy operations IOT establish a safe route to Damaram and Geydam-Tchoukou to facilitate the supply of humanitarian supplies.

    3.  EXECUTION

    a.  Commander’s Intent.  Ensure combat effectiveness of units operating in Kujari is maintained and conduct stability operations to set the conditions for a transition to civilian rule of law.

    b.  Concept of the Operation.  Decisive to this operation is destroying enemy supplies and disrupting their ability to move through the area. This is decisive because it facilitates the return to civilian rule of law.

The purpose of fires is to disrupt and destroy the enemy throughout the region during troop movements and operations. All/any pre-planned targets will be engaged prior to platoon’s movement through the area.

    c. Scheme of Maneuver.

    (1) SP.

Avenger 1-2 and 1-4 will mount up in convoy vehicles. Avenger 1-4 will load into the M1126 Stryker. Avenger 1-2 will utilize an available humvee of their choice.  Extras from 1-2 will load into the Stryker.  Formation will be a staggered column along the route with no closer than 25 meter spacing between vehicles to mitigate desync. 1-3 will prepare to move on foot to the west in order to assist with Hitman's first objective.  Avenger HQ will locate the local militia leader who wishes to negotiate.  Upon moving out, phase 2 will begin.

    (2) Split Objectives.

Avenger 1-2 and 1-4 will move out along the marked convoy route to their objective, an enemy supply cache located in a cave.  Upon reaching the dismount point, 1-2 will hard dismount and move on foot towards the objective.  1-4 will soft dismount and continue moving the Stryker forward to an appropriate OP.  1-4 will provide covering fire as 1-2 moves on the objective, and move in to provide close assistance as required.  Once the surface is cleared, 1-4 will hold security while 1-2 clears the cave.  Once the objective is complete, both squads will convoy back down to the start point to regroup.  Note: NVG use inside caves is prohibited, flashlights should be used for illumination.

Avenger 1-3 will move west on foot to the south side of the town of Barawas, where Hitman will be conducting a rescue of civilian hostages.  1-3 will hold security on the south side of town, preventing hostile contacts from escaping to the south and southwest directions and maintaining control of the intersection to prevent escapes or reinforcements via road.  PID will be essential as ODA will be clearing the town from the opposite direction.  Any vehicles escaping the town should additionally be disabled rather than destroyed if possible.  Once the objective is complete, 1-3 will move back to the start point and regroup.

Avenger HQ will locate the local militia leader and find out the details of his request.  Depending on how it goes, the platoon may either cooperate with the request as their objective for phase 3, or if they decline, they'll arrange transport with ACE to the center of the map for the backup phase 3 objective.

    woz0HVS.jpeg

    Q47Dntn.jpegGJvq1Nr.png

    (3) Backup objective.

As the details of the militia leader's request will not be known until the operation, this section details the plan for the backup objective should the platoon decline the militia's request.

Avenger 1 will arrange air transport into the marked LZ area (07-07).  As the backup objective is inside Silk Road territory and they are known to use MANPADS, the LZ area is only a few kilometers inside their territory to minimize the risk of being shot down.  Once the platoon is on the ground, they will follow one of the forest bands down to the marked hold point.  The objective is to gain control of the bridge and prevent it's use by Silk Road, as this is the only bridge across the river inside their territory.  The platoon can expect to defend the point against hostile attempts to regain the bridge once on location.  Additionally, there is an unrelated smuggler's cache suspected to be a short distance to the west.  Depending on the level of contact at the bridge, the platoon may split off a squad to go investigate.  The platoon should expect to end in the field at the bridge.

    Higher Command's Intent:
    Continue suppression of enemy activity.

    MISSION
Avenger Company 1st Platoon are to clear through known enemy encampments.

    EXECUTION

    Phase 1:
The platoon will prepare to move out from their encamped location and repel any incoming enemy counterattacks.  From there, they will move to a known enemy camp with bunkers and a dock in the immediate area, and clear it out.  1-3 will move to clear a bunker north of the main camp, 1-2 and 1-4 will clear the main enemy encampment and then move on to the dock immediately south.

1-1 will move to their marked Recon Area (screenshot in phase 2) and evaluate the village and farms within for enemy positions.

    WJsPBWE.png

    Phase 2:

After the encampment and immediate surroundings are clear, the platoon will cross the river and move south to check out a clearing, before moving east to the next set of enemy positions.  The positions are a bunker compound, followed by a camp and sandbag emplacements.  The strength of these positions isn't well known, so the platoon will clear them as a group.  Once that is complete, the platoon will either respond to any FRAGO's given or otherwise return to the FOB via air.  There are several clearings nearby which could be used for that purpose.

    SITUATION

    Friendly Forces:

    Higher Command’s Mission:
Conduct counterinsurgency operations within AO Stinger to suppress guerilla forces and smuggler operations supplying them.

    Higher Command's Intent:
Take FOB Mud to use as a base for counterinsurgency operations.

    MISSION
Avenger Company 1st Platoon as well as Hitman are to enter AO Stinger on boats and take FOB Mud.

    EXECUTION

    Phase 1:
The platoon and Hitman will enter the area several kilometers south of FOB Mud on boats, and move up the river until they reach the dismount point.  The enemy are using the rivers in the region to move men and supplies, and it is  expected that there may be contact with the enemy while moving up the river.   In the event of contact, the platoon is to keep moving up the river while laying suppressing fire on the enemy.  ACE will be sending a Badger to escort the platoon up the river and assist with any contact.

    wLymgx0.png

    Phase 2:

The platoon and Hitman will move from the dismount point to the river crossing point.  The river is shallow and walkable, but crossing will be slow and vulnerable.  The platoon will move in a column until the release point is reached, at which point the squads and Hitman will split off to move to their assault vectors.  1-1 will move to the possible pathway marked area in order to investigate whether there is a pathway there.  If so, they will scout the pathway, if not, they'll continue northwest and investigate the nearby waterways in that direction.

    Eh1pDwx.png

    Phase 3:

1-2 and 1-3 will move to the buildings on the south side of FOB Mud and assault in from the south.  The buildings are on the top of a south facing slope and the squads will have defilade as they approach the clearing.  1-4 and Hitman will move to the west side of the clearing, where an east facing slope will afford them an elevated view into the area.  Once the east bunkers and AA emplacements are cleared, 1-2 and 1-3 should begin movement into the area.  There are two comms towers, one by the HQ building and one inside the hesco compound, these should be kept intact if at all possibly, along with as much of the infrastructure as can be preserved.  The dock on the east side has been spotted with supply barges as well as armed fishing boats, so elements should keep aware of potential threats from the river.  An alternate assault route is marked in case the primary one to the south is deemed unsuitable, the alternate is from elevated ground with a relatively short space between the treeline and the north side of the hesco complex.

ACE will be keeping away from the FOB until the AA threat is cleared, they'll be able to provide support once it is.

FRAGO's are possible but not guaranteed, 1-1 and ACE will be conducting reconnaissance of the near and far surrounding area and may be able to identify enemy positions for the platoon to hit once the assault is complete.

Friendly Forces: UN Peacekeepers, Italian Karabinieri

    Higher Command’s Mission:
To secure the region around the airbase and provide humanitarian aid to nearby locals.

    MISSION

This mission will be executed in two phases.

Phase 1: 1-2 will be transported via helicopter to an LZ at 115-063.  From there we will move west and south across the valley to OP Alpha, overlooking OBJ 1, the village of Saloren.  At this village, men have been spotted loading unidentified supplies into trucks in a compound on the eastern side, with a well.  1-2 will investigate the compound, search for any weapons or enemy supplies, speak with any civilians who want to talk, and complete any follow on objectives.

    spacer.png

Phase 2: After OBJ 1, 1-2 will move north and then west up the mountain towards OBJ 2, the village of Shahraza.  This village has a single tower in the center which has been reported as a sniper's nest, as well as potential enemy vehicles in the area.  1-2 will approach from the west and move to OP Bravo, positioned roughly 150 meters from the tower.  1-2 will not be visible from the tower prior to arriving at the OP.  After evaluating the town and engaging any immediate threats, 1-2 will enter, search the tower, and and speak to any civilians who want to talk.  After completing any follow on missions, 1-2 will alternately return to base or depending on elapsed time, request additional tasking.

  19. TIME: 25SEP2021 @ 1000

    WEATHER: Overcast, Medium Precipitation.

    TERRAIN: Rural, Mountain Forests

SITUATION:  Avenger company has just landed at the southwestern airfield. Civilian evacuation in progress.  NUSSR forces advancing.

Friendly Forces: 61st ID, 72nd ODA, other US forces.

    Higher Command's Mission:
Avenger Company is to move to Regional Command Post (RCP) Eggwil and establish a defense there to halt advancing NUSSR forces.  72nd ODA are expected to arrive partway through the mission to reinforce the RCP.  Both elements should expect to be tasked with FRAGOs during the mission.

    Execution:

Avenger Company will depart the southeast airfield in Strykers (1 per squad) and trucks and move to the RCP.  Squads are advised to load up their Strykers with supplies before departing, as it is unclear whether they will be returning to base at mission end.   Avenger 1-6 is to make contact with the RCP commander upon arrival.

    spacer.png

Squads will have assigned defense areas around the RCP, and the majority of enemy contacts are expected to be approaching from the North and East.  There are multiple roads leading to the RCP from those directions, Avenger Company should expect enemy vehicles to approach via those paths.  NUSSR light armor has been spotted by allied forces, however there have been no sightings of enemy MBTs, therefore the risk of encountering heavy armor is assumed to be low.

    spacer.png

There will be other US forces at the RCP, if wounded they are to be evacuated via helicopter to the southwest airfield at the earliest opportunity.  There are US forces manning checkpoints along key roads and towns, Avenger company may be asked to assist those elements if they start to get overrun.

    Task To Supporting Units:

    Provide on-call CAS
    Provide resupply if needed.

  20. 1-1 intel:  An official from Mosque A has told us that hundreds of enemy fighters will be moving into Sangin next week at night, and showed us this map of the general areas where they'll be entering:

    spacer.png

1 Cache destroyed, east of 1-1's second objective.  Marked on map.

  21. TIME: 7AUG2021, 0600

    WEATHER: Clear

TERRAIN: Farm fields, Markets, Urban Areas

SITUATION: Avenger Company conducting COIN Operations in Sangin

-Friendly Forces: 72nd Airborne, ACE, and ODA. ANA Commandos.

    Higher Command’s Mission:

Avenger company is conducting patrols and route clearance, getting an idea of the situation on the ground and gathering intel. The squads are going out to independent objectives all over the map and will likely not be able to assist each other without air transport. All zones of the map have high levels of hostility and the likelihood of sporadic attacks and IEDs is very high.

    Execution:

At beginning of the OP, the squad JTAC will contact ACE for an ammo/ordnance resupply. Once that is done, 1-1 will action on intel given by an informant suggesting enemy movement nearby. After dealing with the enemy contacts, 1-1 will move south towards a recently attacked village and eliminate enemy contacts gathering east of the village. Time pending, 1-1 will heel-toe express to FOB Jackson and endex. If low on time, 1-1 will set up a PB south of the village.

    spacer.png

Objective Plug: An informant has credible intel of enemy movement in zone 3. He will meet us in the market of Shura. Once in Shura, both teams will pull security while SL and an interpreter locate the informant. Once we have relevant information, 1-1 will action on the intel provided.

    spacer.png

Objective Devils Lettuce: Once Objective 1 is complete, 1-1 will move south toward a recently attacked village and eliminate enemy contacts that are regrouping in a treeline east of the village. Alpha will provide a base of fire, while bravo maneuvers in to a flanking position and clears the contacts. If needed, alpha and bravo will bound forward through enemies staying on the flanks.

    spacer.png

Once all objectives have been completed, depending on time, 1-1 will move towards FOB Jackson along the blue route and end there. If low on time, 1-1 will move south along the black route towards a potential PB (PB Trap House) and set up for endex.

  22. IMPORTANT: OBJ 1 has been cancelled due to technical issues, LZ Angel Dust will be several hundred meters to the west of OBJ 2.  The person we were to talk to at OBJ 1 will be found at OBJ 2.

    TIME: 24JUL2021, 1200

    WEATHER: Clear

    TERRAIN: Farm fields, hills.

SITUATION: Avenger Company taking control of FOB Jackson, following up on intel leads.

    -Friendly Forces:
72nd Airborne, ACE, and ODA.  ANA Commandos.

    Higher Command’s Mission:

Avenger company is conducting patrols and investigating intel leads.  The squads are continuing to operate independently and will not be able to assist each other without air transport.  All zones of the map have high levels of hostility and the likelihood of sporadic attacks and IEDs is very high.

    Execution:

1-1 is going out on an independent patrol route and we will not have the other squads around to assist.  We have 4 objectives split between two phases.

    Phase 1:

Transport: At mission start, 1-1 will be getting picked up from their patrol base via helicopter at LZ Mary Jane and flown to LZ Angel Dust, closer to our objectives.  We will be requisitioning a standard ammo supply box and an explosives box to be dropped off with us at LZ Angel Dust.spacer.png

Objective 1:  The first objective is a market where a local national reports being extorted by thugs regularly.  He sells goods at the market on Saturdays, and 1-1 is to make contact with him and see what further information he can give us, in addition to doing a general sweep of the general area of the marketplace.  If the local points us to a close by area, 1-1 may divert to that location to investigate.

    Market 1:

    spacer.png

Objectives 2 and 3:  The second and third objective are simple market patrols.  1-1 will move to and from the markets following the roads when not under contact.

    Market 3:

    spacer.png

    Phase 2:

1-1 will move from Objective 3 to Objective 4, a mosque where a local Imam has asked to meet with Avenger 6 (Nico).  1-1 will move in and secure LZ Sugar Cube and the area immediately surrounding the mosque, and keep guard while Avenger 6 is dropped off and while the meeting is ongoing.  Once the meeting is concluded, both 1-1 and Avenger 6 will RTB to FOB Jackson and endex there.
