AIT is a two week course. Week one students will learn and perform land navigation, terrain identification, along with radio setup and procedures being revisited. Week two students will get hands on learning with the MAAWS recoiless rifle, M249 and 240 platforms, as well as a more in-depth use of grenades. Week two also includes medical buddy and self aid, along with simple care under fire and basic casualty evacuation techniques on a small team level.
